nathan, the ever-ready boy scout shoot an email to the amorsolo yahoogroups inviting people to his 24th birthday celebration one month in advance. yes, that is so typically nathan. he's the only person you'll know who brings manila rope in his car (in case the car needs to be towed). he's the guy who would wake up at 4 am to wash his car. the guy who goes on overtime dahil wala lang. 

he's a backseat driver, a perfectionist and a father-figure who would give the most boring of sermons.

weytminit! i need to remind myself that is not nat's roast but his birthday blog.

july 29, 2006. nat's birthday celebration. paul, ria, ching, neil, angie (himala!) and i arrived at nat's house at around 9:30. and syempre, puro sermon ang inabot namin. but besides nat's nagging, the first thing that greeted us was nat's tarpaulin. ching thought that we were in a children's party (hehe!). we almost offered a virgin sacrifice in nat's feat. tsaka ng mga itlog at prutas. (hehe ulit! we are such a offensive bunch!)

trish and dyn, ain and cai, mona, and ronnel were there already. and as usual, nel was hogging the mic.

after filling our rumbling tummies, we proceeded to fight for the mic. ria (ang makulit na bata) got awfully drunk and kid assigned himself as her man-nurse.

jorell, katz and rica came later. its been a while since we've seen each other.

the next hours were spent on singing (more like screaming) aegis' luha and halik (which scored 100 videoke points, mind you), buttercup, ulan, broken vow, rica's memorable rendition of 2 become 1, panunumpa, sana'y wala nang wakas, wonderwall, wherever you will go... the songlist goes on.

may joketime, may kalaswaan, may laitan, tapos kainan ulit.

bago mag-uwian. i believe twas 4 am when we decided to leave. tumilaok na ang manok eh.

i had been a fan of Filipino comic books since i read Arnold Arre's Mythology Class (book 2). i have a collection of such stuff and i try to buy and support every pinoy comic book out. but i keep on forgetting the titles when i get to Comic Quest. and i end up buying FHM instead. hehe! so im keeping a checklist here.

mackie and i was suppose to meet for coffee the morning of july 18but we had a change of plans.

since ria has tickets to a "special tribute to andrea bocelli" event in shangrila plaza, we decided to meet up there instead. the event was at six, unfortunately, i woke up feeling sick around 5 pm. but i didn't wanna miss this dinner/event. it's been more than seven months since mackie and i saw each other (that was last december, her birthday). also, she just moved to las pinas, waaay out of our gimik way. :(

i came to shang around 7:30 pm (those who knows me knows how dumb i am with directions). and guess what, i parked in edsa shangrila hotel! tsktsk!

anyways, ria, nat, mackie and i had dinner and coffee together. daldal ni mackie! hehe! daming napag-usapan! we covered almost everything.

the night ended coz i needed to go to work. and nat has a self-imposed curfew *insert wicked grin here*

the next morning, i was flaming with fever. but twas worth it.

oh, before i forgot. we had dinner because it was ching's birthday but she wasn't there. pero nasa puso naman siya ni nat. hehe! (tapang ko kase hindi naman nila to mababasa!) kaya later tonight, we'll celebrate her birthday. can't wait!

WWE's Smackdown's coming to Manila

before that, lemme just tell you that i saw D' Generation X reunited yesterday and i screamed my heart out. Can't wait for more of their pranks! I knew about them being reunited weeks ago, but there's a big difference between reading it on the net and seeing it onscreen. i was just so estatic!

also, the Animal, Batista will be unleashed in Smackdown this week (in the states). i hope he's included in the roster in the Smackdown Survivor Series tour.

which brings me back to the title of this blog. Smackdown's coming here in Manila. October 21 and 22. the on-sale ticket date is on July 15. ticket's are at PHP 3,500, 3,300, 2,000, 900 and 400. a little too cheaper than the RAW tickets were. makes me a little apprehensive if Batista is included in the list of the smackdown superstars coming. c'mon, honestly, besides Batista and my Lashley, there's noone in particular in the smackdown roster i'd spend my money on.

time to tighten the belt. SMACKDOWN here i come!

hit and run

hit and run

they are implicating me in a vehicular accident today at malugay st., makati city.

i was on my way to work and turned left in a one way street when i heard a loud screeching sound behind me. i saw a L300 van hit a parked pajero. when i realized i am no part of the accident, i continued on.

then they chased me, accusing me of hit and run. hit and run? i did run. but i didnt hit anything. weird. but somehow, i felt guilty. it didn't help that the two parties involved ganged up on me.

a police report, phone number exchanging, photo-copied OR-CRs and licenses and 2 hours later, i was able to return to the office. the police argued i shouldn't have been implicated in the first place. the worst that they can accuse me is a petty traffic regulation.

whew! whattanight! i felt so alone and helpless when i was in the precinct. but the cop who handled the case reassured me. and though the affected parties insisted on giving me a ticket, i was not given one. the presiding cop decided to let me go, car unscratched and ticketless. he did not even ask for the proverbial "pakipkip."

it brought my faith back to the system. 

well... not really.

just to a certain conclusion that not all those in uniform ignore their conscience.

yup, we did.

ria, kid, pol, ching, nat and i did. dusit hotel, room 742. deluxe non-smoking room with one king bed. and take note, with bath tub! hehe!

we're supposed to meet up for KTV after we attend jaeo's (ria's sister rosy's 7 year old son) hawaiian inspired birthday party. but ria has a free accommodation in dusit and who are we to say no to a free accommodation?

after checking in and enjoying the kin size bed (i still cant believe 6 people can occupy it) and a hot bath, we went out for dinner. we saw ain and cai, with lem, mona and a friend in glorietta. astig! ain just got back from china and its been centuries since we've seen each other. too bad we were too tired after dinner that we weren't able to follow them to a new ktv place in oakwood.

long story short, we took lots of picture (wait for my new pic posts) and linus was an hour late for his FGD.

and yes, what is a free hotel night stay without a pillow fight? hehe!
