Food and Friends Entry Number 1

  
ASC decided to hold a monthly get together to make sure we get to see each other regularly. It was set to be on every first saturdayof every month. The venue changes every month, and will be a regular thing even if only 2 people show up. It's gonna be like our own little food club since we all love to eat. 
      
For the 1st ASC (and gfs) monthly get together, Linus suggested Nomnomnom.

We enjoyed the cozy and quirky interiors, very pleasing to the eyes. Ria enjoyed taking pictures of the place (she's with an Interior Design degree, that says a lot!) I have to say though, this is a girly girl place. So guys may not appreciate it as much.

I'm not very adventurous with food so I ordered the Fried Chicken with Red Wine Sauce.

It's no different from any other fried chicken I've tasted, but I give them props for the heavenly smell of the food. And the presentation, of course. Also, for a not-so-veggie person, I enjoyed their side salad; their dressing, the best.

Linus ordered the Lemon Butter Fish with Side Salad.

I had a bite and I liked it.

For dessert, gusto ko sana ng Boom Chika Wawa:

But they're out :( So we ordered their Chocolate Cake...

which for me, the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted. It has a certain flavor to it (mint or cherry) that makes it really yummy.

We weren't able to explore the menu but for sure, we will be coming back for more!

I've been part of the APS Workforce Department. And I can say it has been the most fruitful, fulfilling and fun filled years so far.

I absolutely adore my WFM family. But of course, there are favorites and there ARE exceptions (but that would be a different entry altogether).

I especially fancy my old school FD peeps; and a few of the new bloods from the tech and telco RTA pool (who almost all are now accomplished level 4s). At syempre pa, my FDD OWW team.

It was during my WFM years when I experienced my first plane ride. Enjoyed the sandbars of Bantayan Island, embraced the scenery of old Vigan, photographed the Pahiyas Festival, raced to Laguna and tried to outplay teams in Caliraya.

However, as I grow up (and blow up), I felt the need for greener pastures, some things outside my comfort zone.

But I know even if we don't get to be in the same office anymore, we still have a lot of places and adventures in our future. :)

I have 2 distinct set of friends. Everybody else falls in between. I've mentioned them before here.

The first set is my high school buddies; most of them, guys. Guys who girls would be proud to introduce to their parents as their boyfriends. Guys, who a couple of years back founded ASC (Amorsolo Singles Club). During that time, all of my guy friends were single. Back then, they had weekly basketball-Senor Pedro nights, occasional roadtrips and girl watching slash hunting days.

Dyn is the only guy who has a gf when ASC was established.

Today, Kid is the only guy who doesn't have a gf.

The only girls in that group are me, Ria (who we sometimes refer to as Bude) and Ching.
