this is the Nat's first (and hopefully last) birthday celebration na walang alcohol. I don't believe we're too old for beer, Nat! :p

Food and Friends Entry Number 1

  
ASC decided to hold a monthly get together to make sure we get to see each other regularly. It was set to be on every first saturdayof every month. The venue changes every month, and will be a regular thing even if only 2 people show up. It's gonna be like our own little food club since we all love to eat. 
      
For the 1st ASC (and gfs) monthly get together, Linus suggested Nomnomnom.

We enjoyed the cozy and quirky interiors, very pleasing to the eyes. Ria enjoyed taking pictures of the place (she's with an Interior Design degree, that says a lot!) I have to say though, this is a girly girl place. So guys may not appreciate it as much.

I'm not very adventurous with food so I ordered the Fried Chicken with Red Wine Sauce.

It's no different from any other fried chicken I've tasted, but I give them props for the heavenly smell of the food. And the presentation, of course. Also, for a not-so-veggie person, I enjoyed their side salad; their dressing, the best.

Linus ordered the Lemon Butter Fish with Side Salad.

I had a bite and I liked it.

For dessert, gusto ko sana ng Boom Chika Wawa:

But they're out :( So we ordered their Chocolate Cake...

which for me, the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted. It has a certain flavor to it (mint or cherry) that makes it really yummy.

We weren't able to explore the menu but for sure, we will be coming back for more!

I have 2 distinct set of friends. Everybody else falls in between. I've mentioned them before here.

The first set is my high school buddies; most of them, guys. Guys who girls would be proud to introduce to their parents as their boyfriends. Guys, who a couple of years back founded ASC (Amorsolo Singles Club). During that time, all of my guy friends were single. Back then, they had weekly basketball-Senor Pedro nights, occasional roadtrips and girl watching slash hunting days.

Dyn is the only guy who has a gf when ASC was established.

Today, Kid is the only guy who doesn't have a gf.

The only girls in that group are me, Ria (who we sometimes refer to as Bude) and Ching.

the guys looked cool really with their barongs and the girls are all dressed up. riza is so beautiful; gideon, you had quite a catch!

it started with a text "gusto nyo tumambay before we get back to our busy lives?" it was an impromptu tambay. as in! wala talagang plano. from starbucks convergys to sm trinoma to pork barrel to starbucks kalayaan. as usual, favorite topic si nathan.

last year, i had less time spent with them. especially because i moved to makati towards the end of the year. i had a roller coaster of a ride last year and though we don't get to see each other that often, they are always there for me. im always thankful i have friends like them. love you guys! (yuck, cheesy!)

no, we didn't stick to the itinerary. it was supposed to be baguio-la union-vigan-la union, pero kabaligtaran nangyari. and MORE! it was really quite an adventure. not to mention na naligaw ako sa palengke sa baguio.
